Country and entity checks come first

KuCoin Global, KuCoin EU and the Australian business are different service contexts. Global futures terms exclude Australian residents; our Global affiliate link is not an Echuca Trading referral. For Nigeria and South Africa, an accessible website does not establish local authorisation or a working NGN/ZAR bank transfer. Verify the contracting entity, permitted product and payment quote before funding. Indian readers should also check the PAN and TDS rules below.

Read the fee class and the actual account rate

KuCoin separates spot assets into fee classes and applies account tiers. Do not treat 0.10% as a universal spot rate: confirm the pair and maker/taker rate in the current schedule and order interface. Eligible spot fees may receive a 20% KCS deduction; a 0.10% fee would then be 0.08%. This does not apply to every product or bot. Futures fees, funding, spread and slippage are separate costs. Limit orders can execute as taker orders; the order label alone does not establish a maker fee.

Worked cost example, not a fee quote

Assume an ordinary spot purchase of 1,000 USDT with a 0.10% fee: the fee equivalent is 1 USDT. If that trade qualifies for a 20% fee deduction, the equivalent becomes 0.80 USDT. A later sale incurs another fee on its own executed value. This calculation excludes price movement, spread, slippage, transfers and tax; use the actual account rate in the fee calculator.

    Deposits, withdrawals and payment quotes

Distinguish a crypto network transfer, a fiat provider payment and a P2P transaction. Compare the final amount received, provider fee, conversion rate, minimum and processing terms. A currency appearing in an old help article does not prove a working deposit or cash withdrawal today. For crypto transfers, both ends must support the same asset and network; inspect the live withdrawal fee and any memo requirement before confirming.

    Fee reductions have conditions

KCS carries price risk and its deduction has product exclusions. Trading more solely to reach a volume tier adds costs and risk; a tier is not a reason to manufacture volume. A resting limit order may receive a maker rate but may never fill. Compare supported withdrawal networks without choosing an incompatible network for a lower fee. No fee setting makes a losing strategy profitable by itself.

Service access is not affiliate eligibility

Global terms Article 17(5) restrict the United States and its territories, Singapore, mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ontario and British Columbia, France, the Netherlands, and Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson in Ukraine. Sanctions and local law also apply. Affiliate rules separately exclude Belgium and Turkey, among other restricted markets. BitcoinMargin also applies its own location blocks. Changing the page language changes none of these conditions.

Bot fees differ from manual trading

KuCoin's current bot FAQ says there is no separate bot software charge. Spot bot strategies receive 20% off the LV0 maker/taker schedule; futures grid uses a fixed 0.06% trading fee. KCS fee deduction and VIP rates do not apply to these bot rates. These terms are distinct from ordinary account trading fees. Repeated small fills accumulate costs, and a futures grid can also incur funding. Read the current FAQ and execution history rather than applying a manual-trading discount twice.

PAN and TDS are separate from fees

KuCoin's India guide applies to users with Indian KYC and an Indian IP address and requires PAN. Its table shows 1% TDS for crypto-to-INR spot sales, both sides of crypto-to-crypto spot trades, and P2P sales; INR spot purchases and P2P purchases are marked not applicable. This is withholding, separate from trading fees and final tax liability. Do not extend that spot/P2P table to futures. Keep trade and TDS records and use the current guide for your account.

Derivatives & Leveraged Products — Important Risk Warning

Derivatives and leveraged products are complex and carry a high risk of rapid, substantial losses. Depending on the product and account rules, losses can exceed the initial margin or money committed. A stand-alone purchased option can lose its entire premium plus transaction costs; writing options, exercising into another position, or combining positions can create additional obligations. An uncovered call writer can face unlimited loss. Applicable legal protections can affect the loss boundary.

You should carefully consider whether you understand how derivatives work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. This content is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to trade derivatives.

Legal availability and regulatory protections depend on the product, service, provider and jurisdiction. In the EU, check the applicable investment-services rules, including MiFID II where relevant, and any product restrictions. Before trading, verify with the relevant regulator whether the provider has the permissions required for the service and whether the product may be offered to you. A website being accessible, or a product appearing on this website, does not establish authorization or eligibility.
