How BitcoinMargin is paid: affiliate and referral links to exchanges, how every paid link is marked, what compensation does and does not influence, and where links appear.
1. Who we are and how this site is paid
BitcoinMargin (bitcoinmargin.com, "we", "us") publishes market data, calculators, guides and exchange reviews for crypto margin and futures traders. The site is free to use and carries no display advertising.
We are paid through affiliate and referral programmes run by cryptocurrency exchanges and trading platforms. When you open an account or trade through a link marked as described in section 2, the platform may pay us a commission or a referral reward. This costs you nothing extra; in some programmes it also gives you a fee discount or a bonus set by the platform, which is stated next to the link when it applies.
This disclosure is made in line with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising and with comparable rules elsewhere. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. How paid links are marked
Every affiliate or referral link on this site is marked in three ways at once: the button or link carries an "Ad" label, the sentence "This page contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you" appears next to it in the language of the page, and the link itself is tagged rel="sponsored" so that search engines treat it as paid.
If a link to an exchange is not marked this way, it is not a paid link. Links to our own pages, to data sources and to regulators are never paid.
We do not publish the commission rates. They differ by partner and by product, and they change over time.
3. What compensation does and does not influence
Compensation can influence which platforms we work with, which platform's button you see on a page, and the position and order of partner platforms in comparison tables and lists. A platform that pays us may be shown ahead of one that does not.
Compensation does not change the market data on this site. Prices, funding rates, open interest, trading volumes and liquidation figures come from the platforms' own public data feeds and are shown as received. It does not change how the calculators work, and it does not change the risk warnings.
Review pages of partner platforms carry the same marked button as every other page, so you can see on the page itself that the reviewed platform is a partner. The opinions in a review are ours.
4. Where links appear, and where they do not
A partner link is shown only where that platform serves residents of your location. Where a platform does not serve a country, or a particular US state, its button is not shown there, and in some jurisdictions parts of the site are not served at all. Availability is taken from each platform's own published lists and can change without notice.
Showing a link is not a statement that the platform is licensed or permitted where you live. You are responsible for checking a platform's regulatory status in your own jurisdiction before using it.
5. Not financial advice
Nothing on this site is investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is an offer or solicitation to trade any product. Margin and futures trading uses leverage and can lose more than your initial deposit. Decide for yourself, and consider independent advice before trading.
