Santos FC Fan Token (SANTOS) is the fan token of Santos Futebol Clube, the Brazilian football club whose players have included Pelé, Robinho and Neymar Jr. It is a BEP-20 utility token on BNB Smart Chain that Binance issued in November 2021 as the 26th project on Binance Launchpool, where users staked BNB and BUSD to farm 1.5 million SANTOS from 27 November to 26 December 2021; Binance listed the token on 1 December 2021.
Binance announced at the time that it would be Santos FC's official fan token partner and its front-of-shirt and training-kit sponsor from the 2021 season. SANTOS is not a Socios.com fan token and does not run on Chiliz Chain. Holders can use it on the issuer's fan-token platform, which requires identity verification, for holder voting polls, NFTs and mystery boxes, a fan shop and match prediction; the issuer may change or end these features.
The maximum supply is fixed at 30 million SANTOS, all of which already exists on BNB Smart Chain, and 4.55 million circulated at launch.
