What is Sui?
Sui is a Layer 1 blockchain that uses Move and an object-based data model. SUI is its native token. This page shows the token's market price and market capitalization in the selected currency. Market capitalization is price multiplied by circulating supply; it is different from a valuation using the maximum supply and is not cash available for withdrawals.
The network can execute transactions with independent inputs in parallel. This design does not guarantee a particular transaction speed, uninterrupted service or bug-free applications. Check the quote time and chart period when comparing market values.

Key Features of Sui
- Move objects: Assets and application state are represented as programmable objects. Language safeguards do not remove every application or custody risk.
- SUI gas: SUI pays network transaction fees. A wallet or application may sponsor fees under its own conditions.
- Delegated staking: SUI can be delegated to validators; reward outcomes depend on the protocol, validator performance and commission.
Sui Use Cases
- Read the market: Compare price, circulating supply and market capitalization using compatible timestamps. A supply cap is not today's circulating balance.
- Use a Sui wallet: Check current network support, publisher and receiving address. The same ticker on another network does not establish a compatible transfer route.
- Assess staking: Review validator commission, epoch rules and withdrawal conditions. Liquid-staking services add their own contract and liquidity risks.
Sui Tokenomics
- Total Supply
- The documented maximum is 10,000,000,000 SUI.
- Circulating
- Only part of the maximum supply circulates. Use a dated circulating-supply figure when interpreting market capitalization.
- Utility
- Network fees, delegated staking and governance participation under protocol rules.
- Emission
- Scheduled releases increase available supply within the cap. An unlock does not prove that recipients sold their tokens.

Confirm the project name, ticker, network and contract against the current project documentation. Check that the selected service and market are available for your account and location.

Compare the current bid, ask, fees and available liquidity. A spot purchase and a leveraged derivative are different products; check the order type and quantity before confirming.

If transferring tokens, verify the destination network, address and token contract. Review the withdrawal fee and minimum, and confirm receipt before making another transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is SUI market capitalization the same as fully diluted valuation?
No. Market capitalization uses circulating supply; a fully diluted estimate uses the supply basis stated by its provider. Neither measure guarantees that a large holding can be sold at the quoted price.
Which wallet names are current?
Mysten Labs introduced Slush in April 2025, replacing Sui Wallet and incorporating Stashed. Sui announced Phantom support on January 29, 2025. Check each wallet's current network support and official download source.
Where do SUI staking rewards come from?
The protocol describes computation fees plus temporary stake subsidies. Validator commission and performance affect the outcome. The storage fund has a separate accounting role; a fixed current APY should not be assumed.
